A&F Hotel Chemnitz

The hotel was nicely located near the city centre. Free parking was available. Our room was big, comfortable and clean. So was the washroom. The wallpaper was a nice touch. The place was quiet at night.

We decided to start the following morning with breakfast on the premises, for which we had to pay extra. It was quite pricey: €18 per person. Unfortunately we were disappointed because the buffet experience was very bad. The buffet was run by just one member of staff, who couldn’t keep up with the workload because he was also working as a waiter and had to man the reception desk at the same time. As a result, there were times when there was no food available and we had to wait for a restock. Scrambled eggs were only available to those who arrived first once the buffet opened. I asked if they could make more, but they said no. The Wifi signal in our room was very weak. My phone kept disconnecting. More access points should be installed for convenient Internet access. In the living room, we were surprised to see adhesive tape on the furniture (as shown in the photos). It didn’t look very neat, so the staff should remove it. I’d be happy to return to this hotel, but I’d give breakfast a miss unless the management ensures there are more staff so that there is enough food for guests at all times.

Das Personal war sehr freundlich, die Unterkunft liegt nah am Stadtzentrum, die Straße hört man kaum.

Leider war in unserem Zimmer schon sichtbar lange nicht mehr Staub geputzt worden.
