Mudi House

Loved the vibe of the house. Felt very private but also central and close to the beach

I did not enjoy the electricity cuts. Hahaa

Monalisa is such a great host - when I was sick, she took great care of me, the breakfast was amazing and always freshly prepared. Whenever I had a question, they had answers and had great recommendations for activities and areas. Everyone is so kind and friendly and you feel very much at home.

An amazing sojourn in Mudi House,a cozy and comfortable hotel with the beautiful Mona and Fatouma.Their kindness and love make us feel right at home.The cleanest hotel in Zanzibar, especially the kitchen where you can prepare your food.The terasse and the garden are just amazing without forgetting that the hotel is close to the beach ⛱️, between small houses.Children play around and the funniest thing is that you wake up with the Baaa of the goat 🐐 to live an authentic Jambiani life. Without forgetting the most delicious 😋 breakfast prepared with love by Mona and Fatouma who made our experience just unforgettable.

The location was great and we felt like we got a much more authentic experience than if we would have gone to some of the big hotels instead. The breakfast was great, the staff was really friendly and helpful at all times especially Mona Lisa who runs the place and does an amazing job as a host. She let us borrow an extra fan and even switch rooms when we were having trouble sleeping because of the heat and she was accommodating to any requests or needs we had. She also helped us with laundry and allowed us to checkout later. Overall really nice stay and I would recommend!

It can get quite hot in the rooms but it's easily solvable if you talk to Mona Lisa so not a big problem at all.

Clean room and surrounds

Too much noise from outside. But it's ok. It had nothing to do with the property

We were greeted with the beautiful smile of Mona Lisa which started our weekend off perfectly! There were so many special little bonuses, such as a magically lit seating area in the garden which we really enjoyed as we could hear the surf of the ocean, sleeping under cotton sheets and being hosted by the very friendly staff who took care of all of our needs. Will definitely stay there again!

Breakfast included a lovely plate of fresh fruit, eggs made to order, toast, coffee and tea along with jam and peanut butter.. it was delicious although we suggested they buy locally made peanut butter and make their own jams and the idea was very well received, so we expect more homemade goodies next time!

I had a wonderful stay at Mudi House! The highlight was the amazing staff, especially Monalisa, the manager, who ensured we had a great experience. The rooms were beautifully decorated, providing a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The location is perfect—just a short walk to the beach and the village. The garden is stunning, adding to the overall tranquility of the place.

Very warm and loving welcome. They showed me everything around the hotel, helped with transport services. Wonderful breakfast! Very kind staff, management very tentative to our needs. Very close to the beach, the place is quiet and peaceful in the village, and Monalisa, the incredible manager, with her kind smile and her devoted personality makes you feel at home 🙏🏼
