Good staff Great food Spotlessly clean

1st visit. Really nice room and bed Last visit, awful soft and unsupportive mattress. Creaky bedframe. Such a shame.! It was holiday time so hotel full yet booked well in advance stipulating privates bathroom which unfortunately did not contain a shower, that was shared with adjoining room. Ventilation fans kept going on and off all night elsewhere from the room. All in all, no sleep at all.

Interesting old public house, catering for locals as well as guests. Very spacious eating areas outside as well as in. Very helpful pleasant staff. Good varied menu and wide range of drinks. Large comfortable and clean bed in the attic room.

We had had to find accommodation suddenly so only booked the day before our stay. We were allocated the attic room, the only one available. The room was good but the private bathroom was down a flight of stairs. This is not ideal especially for older people. Also the ceilings slope as the room is under the roof and taller people may hit their head.

This was fairly old building yet still felt and smelled fresh. Everything was spotless which is a good indicator on the running of the hotel that you don’t see eg the kitchen. Food was served fresh and hot even though hotel and restaurant were fully booked. Nice selection of beers and beer garden

Wine choice is limited but was ok

Fabulous stay, superb food, great rooms and really welcoming staff. Great location and felt our bikes were all safe parked at the rear. Will definitely return. 5⭐️

Helpful and friendly staff Due to changing travel plans, I had to cancel our return trip stay. The host was very understanding about this, thank you.

Couldn't open bedroom window for air. Property took full payment on check in. ( I normally book for all 3 of us and they settle up themselves, usually on check out, paying for add ons like meals.

Dinner and breakfast was superb, beer selection was great. Staff were incredibly friendly. Rooms on the small size but for the money they were perfect.
