Station Hotel And Restaurant

Managed to book the last available room. My daughter was in the nearby Borders General Hospital, and needed to be close by. Staff friendly, room lovely. I fell asleep instantly. Ordered my breakfast when booking in, and went for the cooked breakfast(minus the meat because Im a vegetarian). All cooked well and was nice and tasty. Although it was short, I enjoyed my stay.

Location was excellent and easy walking distance to all the shops and restaurants. Breakfast was good

Bedroom was dark and very noisy during the day due to a generator outside. Bed wasn’t comfortable. The check in welcome was poor, though the woman who did the breakfasts was very nice.

Minor point but location of television in relation to sofa and beds made watching uncomfortable.

Breakfast was very good. Good porridge, plenty of food. Delicious coffee. Good service. We also ate the Sunday roast. Vegetables were delicious. There was LOTS of food. Staff were very nice, helped us with transportation arrangements and loaned us an electric converter. This is a charming, old fashioned family owned hotel with a pub and restaurant. Our room was comfortable, very large, with 3 big windows overlooking the town. Located in the center of town, walkable to everywhere.
