Silver Cloud Hotel - Seattle Lake Union

Love it never stayed at a Silver Cloud but will be coming back and looking at this brand.

The parking but to be expected for Seattle.

We loved this hotel! I highly recommend paying a little extra for the view of Lake Union. You get to see all the action on the lake--sea planes taking off and a few large yachts cruising. In the morning we would turn the chairs around and just enjoy the view. If you do not want to drive downtown, the hotel is a short walk to the light rail train which will take you to Pike Place Market. From there we took the Monorail to the Space Needle. I would pick this hotel just for this convenience factor. On our last day, which was a Sunday, we drove back to the Market and the Pier and it was difficult finding parking. There are also several nearby restaurants across the street on the lake. I still talk about the lobster bisque at Duke's. It was a perfect place to stay for our first wedding anniversary. --Andrew

It is near the light rail when you are going to the Pike Market and downtown as well as the bus stop. The rooms are cleaned everyday and the towels are always fresh.

We stayed at the Silver Cloud Hotel at 1150 Fairview N in South Lake Union. We originally booked for one night but decided to stay 3 more nights because it was so nice. The staff at the desk were very accommodating. They lowered the price for our additional time there and helped us to navigate the city, it being our first time in Seattle. They even called taxi's for us when needed and suggested places to eat with some discount cards for restaurants nearby. The room was great. Very clean, we had a double queen room. My friend loved the bed so much he didn't want to leave. Our room also had a couch and coffee table with an ottoman. The breakfast was wonderful. No frozen food here. It was all freshly made. Sausage, bacon, roasted potatoes with all the fixings. Really good fluffy scrambled eggs. They had cereals, oatmeal and all the additions for it. Yogurt, fresh fruit, muffins, pastries, toast, bagels and english muffins. They also had a full waffle bar with regular batter or cinnamon batter with strawberries and whip cream and plenty of syrup. Their coffee was really good. They had plenty of tea options and hot chocolate too. They had three juice options and of course they had milk. A great start to your day. Nobody walked away without a full belly. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Seattle. They also have other locations if you would rather stay closer to downtown. For us this location was perfect.

The room was clean, the beds comfortable, and it the place wasn’t too far from Seattle.

There was dried blood on the pillow case. It looked like it had been washed (I sure hope), but I was very disappointed something like that escaped inspection/quality control. I took a picture of it. I didn’t want to give the place a 2 or 3 based on just that, due to other things being good. I was also disappointed in how rude the employees were at breakfast. We got there five minutes before closing and we received nasty/cold looks from the staff who were trying to clean things up as we tried to get a few things before they put everything away.

Location and the room were awesome

Parking was extra. That brought the rating down to an 8 instead of a 10.

Clean, convenient location, breakfast was delicious and professional and friendly staff
