Pub very quiet on weekdays so you will have to walk around town for some atmosphere and food.

I was a lone traveler meeting family & Barry who welcomed me at The Lion for my 1 night stay couldnt of done enough to make my stay comfortable and would 100% recommend this for a nights stay

The bed, pillows & quilt was all very comfy allowing me to have a good nights sleep

Situated in a very pleasant small town which is handy for Telford and Bridgenorth. The side entrance to The Lion through the bar is a bit unprepossessing but the bedrooms are lovely, bright, clean comfortable and modern.

It would have been nice to have the option of some sort of breakfast at the property but it was made clear that this was not available or worthwhile financially for the owner. Breakfast is available over the road after 08.15.

Unfortunately, this was not a pleasure stay at all for both my wife and myself, we struggle to explain what we actually liked about the "Lion"

When my wife and I arrive at the "Lion Hotel" tired after nearly a 2 hour journey only to find that the building was locked. We had to call a hand written number on a piece of paper stuck on the side of the building to get someone to let us in. Not good at all! When we finally got into the building, we were met by an elderly gentleman who tried his very best to be as pleasant as he could. The furniture was dated, and the room was "ok" my wife refused to use the shower which looked very unpleasant and for some unknown reason the bathroom had a strong odour of cigaretts. We're not sorry to say that was the first and the last time we will be booking the "Lion Hotel" again, which i must end by saying should not be described as a "hotel"

The room and the bed was really comfortable and spotlessly clean.

It was clean and very welcoming, staff were helpful and friendly
