The hotel is located amidst a peaceful wild setting with vast stretches of greens. This positioning augers well for travelers who use Dambulla as a base for exploring Kandy, Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa and Sigiriya. As the property is managed by a family, we never felt like staying in a hotel. The rooms are spacious are provided with attached private baths and balconies. Second, major advantage is the option of eating in-house. The meals are prepared with fruits are vegetables grown organically by the hosts. The staff is super helpful and the hosts are mindful of the many needs of the guests. Black Mustang made our 4-day long Dambulla sojourn all the more memorable.

It’s not in the city itself, so you need to get Tuktuk to get out

The location was far enough away from city noise yet close enough to all we needed.

The plumbing in the bathroom needed a bit of work.
