La Meridiana Relais

Et fantastisk sted med historisk sus. Verten meget forekommende, kun 2 min å gå til det historiske senter hvor det finnes en meget hyggelig bar Baffo House. 150 overfor La Meridiana finner di spisestedet Sanpori med tradisjonsrik, velsmakende mat til en overraskende hyggelig pris. Anbefaler byen, overnattingsstedet og både spisestedet og baren

What a wonderful place to stay! Extremely clean and beautifully decorated. Surpassed all of our expectations.

The facilities were beautiful. It is in a wonderfully restored and decorated historic building.

Customer service was horrendous. After walking the Via Francigena and arriving when nothing was open for food, we left our packs because our rooms were not ready and walked to the market for sandwiches. We walked back to the hotel, checked in and then sat in the common room on the second floor and ate our late lunch. We were scolded by the owner and were told that our behavior was unacceptable at his high end hotel (never mind that he was sleeping in the lobby when we arrived). He said, “Imagine if other guests might see you!” Ugh! We were the only people on our floor, and likely the only people in the hotel.

Overall the guest house is a really nicely maintained palazzino full of character and in a location that's convenient for Rome, Lazio province and Umbria. The breakfasts up on the rooftop terrace were a pleasure each morning. It was lovely to chat with Maria, the manager. She prepared fried eggs and tomatoes for us on request, in addition to the standard help-yourself items.

The shower cubicle is a bit ordinary. The shower head is fixed and drips a bit after you turn off the water. If you're not washing your hair, use a shower cap. There are two or three free parking spaces outside the guest house but you have to ascend a narrow ramp in order to reach them. If you're going to hire a car, go for a small one.

This property deserves a 15. Every single detail was impeccable. The hosts were gracious, helpful and kind.

We hated to leave.
