Tipsea Turtle Gili Air

Majoituspaikka oli meille toimiva, koska sukelsimme hotellin yhteydessä olevan sukelluskeskuksen kanssa.

Huonetta ei siivottu kertaakaan 6 yön oleskelumme aikana. Hostellilla oli jonkinverran meteliä iltaisin, mutta ei häiritsevästi.

The location is fantastic, especially if you want to snorkel with sea turtles. The sunrise on the east side of the island is absolutely beautiful. I also loved the community atmosphere: beach clean-ups, shared dinners, painting activities, and plenty of opportunities to meet other travelers while still having space for yourself. The staff were always friendly and welcoming. The property combines a hostel, dive center, and beachfront restaurant, making everything very convenient. My daughter especially loved the cats around the property. The area is quiet, and renting snorkeling equipment, bicycles, or electric scooters is easy and affordable nearby.

This place is definitely more suited to backpackers than travelers looking for extra comfort. While it is affordable and relatively clean by local standards, I personally found that my expectations have changed over time. The breakfast was exactly the same every day (pancakes, vegetable omelet, and fruit), which became repetitive. Our room was located right next to the reception, so we had to keep the curtains closed most of the time for privacy. The pool seemed more suitable for diving practice than for relaxing or swimming. I was also not comfortable using the water refill stations, as they did not appear particularly hygienic. Additionally, the beach has many coral fragments, so water shoes are recommended for sensitive feet.

The property smelt like sewage, the communal bathrooms were mouldy and dirty and not secure, our room didn’t have any natural lighting or usable windows, and staff were not very friendly

Man sitzt nicht besonders schön vor dem Zimmer, direkt am Weg in das Hauptgebäude. Nur ein Stuhl zum Sitzen.
