Le Manoir de L'Étang

The location of Le Manoir de L'Étang is undeniably its best feature. Nestled in a quiet, green area just a short drive from Cannes and the beautiful old town of Mougins, it offers a peaceful and scenic setting that feels well connected yet removed from the crowds.

The rest of the experience was disappointing. The room was very outdated, with mold on the walls, water-damaged doors, and a TV that did not work. We reported the issue, and were told a technician would come the next morning; either no one came or the problem remained unresolved. The mattress was extremely uncomfortable and felt very old, the bedsheets were torn and stained, and the seating area couch was visibly marked. The cleaning service was subpar; a used spoon was wiped with a tissue and left on the table, and a towel that had clearly been used was simply folded back into place rather than replaced. Although the room was booked with breakfast included, what was offered was minimal: a small basket of stale bread and croissants, one type of cheese, and some ham (which we do not eat). When we asked for eggs, we were told there would be an extra charge. I have never encountered a hotel that includes breakfast but excludes basic items like eggs. The manager eventually offered to waive the charge—without us asking—apparently due to the broken TV, which only added to the sense of disorganisation. Overall, this was a poor experience that I would not recommend.

Le site, la propriété, les extérieurs, l'accès facile, le parking. Très bonne literie. Petit déjeuner parfait, servi à table, ce qui devient rare. Le personnel accueillant et attentif. Le restaurant très correct.

La chambre aux équipements un peu vieillots, sa situation au dessus de l'entrée de service, avec des livraisons très tôt le matin.
