Fantastic big views over the green and the Firth of Forth from the room and from the restaurant. Peaceful at night with just the sound of the marsh birds. The staff were all really friendly. The housekeeping staff were very accommodating and helpful, and a special mention goes to Pete in the restaurant who was particularly welcoming and pleasant, doing everything he could to meet my requests.

From outside it looks a little tired, as does some of the furniture in the room. Double bed was two singles side by side, not zipped together, with an uncomfortable ridge down the middle where the mattress edges met. The springs in the mattresses were protruding making it very uncomfortable if not padded with something thick. The thin nylon matress protectors were full of static electricity making zapping noises when lying on so I had to take them off and remake the bed! Luckily there were two thickish duvets in the wardrobe which served the purpose. I didn’t like the loud music in the restaurant especially at breakfast time.

Stayed here as we were attending a wedding nearby. What a lovely location - the views are amazing. The hotel kindly let us into our room early before we headed off to the wedding - room was spacious and nicely decorated with tea and coffee machine. Very comfortable bed. Breakfast in the morning was very good with my vegetarian wife well catered for. Just wish we had more time to explore the area but only there one night.
