BioHotel Arara River

The staff and the tours were really good. The guides have a lot of knowledge and passion for what they do. Also the food is great. We especially liked seeing the dolphins.

We had originally booked a tour to Puerto Nariño, which unfortunately was canceled a day before the tour, due to the Christmas holidays, as it appears to be operated by an external agency. Despite this, the hotel was very helpful and assisted us in arranging alternative activities, which we greatly appreciated.

Die Unterkunft befindet sich mitten im Dschungel und verfügt über einen sauberen Aussenpool. Die ganze Konstruktion besteht aus Holz. Das Personal ist freundlich. Man kann sehr gute Touren vom Hotel aus buchen. Das Essen war sehr gut.

Niemand vom Personal spricht Englisch. Das ist meiner Meinung nach ein Nachteil. In einem Hotel in einer touristischen Zone erwarte ich mindestens einen englischsprechenden Angestellten. Trotz dessen habe sie sich aber mittels Übersetzer bemüht die Kommunikation aufrecht zu erhalten.

I personally want a hot shower.. but hot water is not common in Amazonas (en la selva)

Location and staff were amazing

When I was at the hotel, it was undergoing renovation and the pool was closed.

I really enjoyed my stay at this property. The people were very kind and welcoming, always ready to help with anything I needed. The food was great. The room was spacious, comfortable, and very clean — perfect to relax after a day exploring. The location couldn’t be better: it’s close to the dolphin watching area, the indigenous community, and Monkey Island. They also have a beautiful bay where you can watch the sunrise and a cozy tree house that’s perfect if you want some privacy and quiet time surrounded by nature. I also loved their small shop with beautiful local handicrafts — great for finding unique and interesting souvenirs. Plus, there’s a station with potable water and coffee available 24/7, which was a great bonus.

I didn’t like that the pool wasn’t working at all during my stay — from the first day until the last. I stayed for 4 nights and 5 days, and every day they mentioned it would be ready “the next day,” but unfortunately it never was. They kindly compensated me with a free artesanal fishing and dolphin-watching activity, which I appreciated, but five days without the pool felt like too much, especially since I booked the place hoping to relax. Also, at check-out, the receipt for my consumptions didn’t include prices or quantities or clarity, so I was a bit confused about the total amount. Lastly, the breakfast hours are quite early, which can be inconvenient if you want to rest a little more.

La atención fue muy personalizada, la actitud de servicio de todo el personal siempre con una gran sonrisa, la comida fue deliciosa, las instalaciones muy lindas y muy aseadas. El hotel es encantador rodeado de mucha naturaleza.

Die Abholung von Leticia mit dem Boot war atemberaubend. Der Barkeeper und der Guide war nett. Super war, dass das Hotel die Ausflüge organisierte. Essen (Buffet) war ganz lecker. Das Moskitonetz über dem Bett war klasse.

Es hat niemand englisch gesprochen. Weder die Rezeptionistin, noch die Guides. Die Zimmer hat leider von der Toilette her sehr gestunken. Es war dunkel auf dem Zimmer und hellhörig.
