CALove the area where the Hotel is at! Mahahual is a calm little town, but it was relaxing being in the beach area. Often it was somewhat empty. On Saturday it was cool since a couple locals came to the beach and we had a good soccer game on thenlittle beach. Beach is calm, you can practice kayak, paddle board etc. There are a couple souvenir stores, restaurants beside the hotel! I suggest that you take out money or exchange money somewhere other than Mahahual since the rates here aren’t good at all, and the fees to withdraw money are way higher than anywhere in Mexico that I have been! But the town is so relaxing which makes this little place great!
A couple little upgrades here and there could make this place be awesome! If they fixed the doorknobs, the pool area (add a couple tables, chairs, fix the pool)
BZThe staffs were very tentative and have no problem to communicate with. We had an a/c malfunction at our first room and the staff immediately get us another room without any difficulty. The room and the roof top have a great view and there's hot water to bath. The wifi is good all the time.
The roof top pool looks a bit off and much cleaning is needed. The parking lot of the hotel looks deserted.
