There is no internet in the rooms (only in the common area), there is no warm water, the entrance of the hostel is full of "guides" and drivers who want to make money out of tourists and are really creepy, rooms are much smaller than shown in the web, there is drinkable water in the common area... to be paid for
FRCharming place with nice staff. Sometimes they gave us a free fresh fruits salad in the afternoon, such a delicate gesture! The room was spacious and comfortable. Many guides were waiting just in front of the guesthouse.
The bathroom was disappointing for the price, there was no real hot water and the pressure was very low, also the sink was leaking on us. The restaurant is quite expensive but luckily there are some other cheap options nearby.
DEWe returned after 13 years and Pias Poppies turned out to be just as nice and welcoming as before. Friendly and helpful staff, spacious and clean rooms, now located in a new building with nice views. On top of that you can have your dinner in the restaurant that serves typical Torajan meals of high quality which are quite hard to find elsewhere. What more can you expect?

We arrived late, approx 10pm, the 2 receptionist weren't very welcoming...perhaps tired? They quoted a higher room rate than the one I reserved on Booking.com I showed the reservation on the App and reluctantly they agreed to honour the rate quoted on Booking.com
