I liked the staff and how they make you feel comfortable during your stay. I loved I could bring my pet and there were no issues. Really nice hotel

The fee for bringing the pet can only be paid in cash. There shampoo and soaps given were really minimal.

This is a charming family owned "old Mexico" hotel on the outskirts of San Blas. First impression is the lovely lobby, manicured grounds and pool area. The front desk and bell service is excellent. We had a king suite, which was quite spacious, with lovely marble and wood decor. The room was kept impeccably clean. Unfortunately, the sofa, bedspread and drapes are old and tired - badly in need of updating, and this took the room down from lovely to just ok. Chef Betty, the chef of the hotel's restaurant El Delfin, is apparently famous in Mexico as a tv personality. We ate in the restaurant several times, for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We are foodies, and found it to be a bit hit and miss. We had a one extraordinary entree (seafood relleno with tomatoes, ginger and saffron), several very nice ones, and a few disappointing ones (the seafood soup was a bit bland and the chocolate cake was dry!). The service was always impeccable. The menu is small and the hours are short, so plan ahead. The wine list has decent Mexican wines, and they make a great margarita. Since the restaurant is priced much higher than anything else in San Blas, our expectations were high. Overall, if returning to San Blas, we would stay here again. I do hope they will update the fabric items to fit the otherwise wonderful atmosphere at Garza Canela.

Location was very good.gardens are pretty

No hair dryer. No iron. Not even a laundry bag. Not worth the price at all. Barely give you bath soap.

The breakfast, although not included, was great. The coffee and fruit plates, in particular, were a perfect day starter. The bar was special and Julio was top notch. Josefina went above and beyond to be helpful. The staff, in general, was exceptional. Our poolside bungalow was quiet and pleasant.Loved our stay.

Although no one's fault, the dozens of itchy red insect bites I acquired at my ONE trip to the main beach, was memorable. Everything humanly possible though, to make our trip relaxing and lovely was covered by the truly exceptional and professional staff.

The hotel is old but well maintained. The staff are very friendly, the location is great, and overall, it is a nice hotel.

The hotel is old and a bit pricey. Clean but we found a lizard in the bathroom. But overall is a comfortable hotel for a night or two.
