Staff are really friendly and helpful. The bar is great, very old and full of character. We ate dinner in the pub and it was lovely. We stayed here for a night to break up the drive home.

The bedrooms are incredibly hot!!! Even with the radiator turned off. The beds are comfy but we didn't sleep well due to the heat and when you open the windows you get a lot of road noise.

Bed was super comfy. Food was excellent- especially breakfast. Perfectly situated for our event.

Room was well decorated although quite small, it was adequate for our one night stay. Bathroom was clean with a good shower. Breakfast was good and was to order so freshly made. Great location off a short distance off the motorway.

We had paid for breakfast in advance, but you had to choose one dish from the menu, ie cooked breakfast, or porridge, or which was a mix of cooked or more traditional breakfast items. So you couldn't have cereal too or a pastry etc unlike a lot of buffet breakfasts at hotels. So if you'd pre-paid and then requested porridge or cereal you might feel you've been over charged.

Very helpful staff ,comfortable bed, great food

We like to stay at historic properties whenever we have to be away and this didn't dissappoint. Unfortunately we didn't dine as we were visiting family locally and had already eaten but we did have breakfast. Lovely ambience, great food and service. We look forward to staying again but dining next time.
