2 armchairs in the room which was really good for relaxing.

Although the cooked breakfast food was lovely it was COLD. Only cold plates to serve the breakfast which meant that by the time you got to your table with you cooked breakfast it was cold especially as the food wasn’t that hot in the first place. There was plenty of choice for hot and cold breakfast.

Room was clean, staff friendly and helpful, location is superb

The location of the hotel

The hotel is really outdated and need a lot of tlc as some of the places seems to be forgotten about. Toilet and bath clean can not say the same about all dispenser or cupboards, tv unit. Swimming pool facility great idea unfortunately changing rooms, lockers very outdated - 1 out of 4 hairdryers out of use. Generally you can tell that hotel has been in for many years and its good for one night stay would i consider booking it for a whole week unfortunately not at the stage it us now. We have visited many years ago once and it has not changed since then but it really needs refereshed.

Proximity to town, everyone was helpful.

The room was very tired looking, needed a bit of tlc/updating.

Room very spacey and staff all very nice were we were based perfect so close to the town loved my break for my birthday and an extra touch from hotel from hotel procecco and lovely card thank you all x

Uncomfortable pillows, mould in the shower cabin, dirty walls in the hotel room

The location was good, next to the steam train. It was quiet and calm.

There was no swimming costume drying facility. No control of the towel rail in the room for drying. Bathtub was small compared to their property in Windermere, which was very comfortable. Breakfast was not good enough for vegetarians, even the custom ordered veg sausages were bad.
