Simera in Cappadocia - Special Class - Best View Rooftop

The initial “wow” factor (stayed in the presidential suite) walking out onto the balcony and my wife’s reaction to the view was special.

Lots of wear and tear to hot tub, charged for bath bombs for bubbles which I wasn’t told until check out and didn’t work, bedroom was very cold at night no heating option as advertised fire no in use. Breakfast was the same everyday and staff smoking in the area and one was doing so while serving us. We asked for water as didn’t want local tea and again charged for this water on check out without ever being told it was chartable and comms regarding any trip balloon etc was VERY poor! So booked without side company.

Dans la chambre avec jacuzzi et vue, il manque énormément d’intimité puisque les deux fenêtres de la chambre avec le jacuzzi en dessous donne sur une terrasse publique et il y a toujours du monde…

Очень хороший отель. Из номера отличный вид на долину, где рано утром можно увидеть множество разноцветных воздушных шаров. Уютная терасса, где приятно провести время. Номер уютный, комфортный. Хороший завтрак. Можно заказать еду из ресторана в номер. Рядом есть магазин и аптека. Приветливый персонал. После бронирования со мной связался менеджер и предложил различные экскурсии и спросил о моих пожеланиях. Рекомендую всем этот отель. Вернусь снова.

The view is like the photos, perfect. The staff was gentle and the breakfast was good.

Unfortunately, this was one of the most disappointing travel experiences I’ve ever had, mainly due to the high price and the expectation of a luxury stay that was not delivered. After nearly 24 hours of travel, we requested early check-in, as described on Booking. The only reply was that it would “depend on availability,” but we never received a proper follow-up. Upon arrival, we discovered that the property is essentially a bar/lounge with a view, without a proper reception. There was no waiting area or any comfort—just the bar tables. Nobody offered us water, access to Wi-Fi, or basic hospitality; instead, they simply handed us the bar menu to order something while we waited. Check-in was finally done at 1:50 pm. The room does have a beautiful view. However, the stay was disappointing: there was no air conditioning (the ceiling fan only worked with the light on), the floor fan was dusty, the floor itself was not clean, the bed was hard, and the sheets looked worn. The minibar hardly cooled anything. In addition, if you are looking for peace and quiet, this is not the place—there was constant music from the bar, cigarette smell, loud conversations, and the noise of furniture being dragged around. The staff is kind but clearly poorly trained. Basic information is not provided in the rooms, so you have to ask about everything. Breakfast was tasty and offered a good variety of items, which was one of the few highlights of the stay. In summary: this is essentially a bar that also rents rooms, but without the structure or standards expected for the high price and the promise of luxury.

The hotel offered an incredible view, the cleanliness of the rooms was impeccable, and several members of the staff were very courteous. The food was excellent, and the rooms provided very good value for money

There were several aspects of the stay that were disappointing: • There was a clear lack of organization and alignment among the staff. Agreements made with the manager were never communicated to the team, and most employees seemed unaware of what was happening. • None of the staff, apart from the manager, were able to explain the tours offered by the hotel. For example, when the manager was not available, I could not obtain any reliable information about the excursions that had been arranged. • Only the manager spoke English, which made communication very difficult. • At the beginning, I was told that we could settle the payment for the tours at the end of the stay. However, midway through, we were suddenly pressured to pay immediately, allegedly because the hotel lacked cash. I had to leave in a rush to withdraw money, which was stressful. • The card machine apparently charged me twice, and the staff did not know how to verify whether the payment had been duplicated. • Although I paid for all the tours during the stay, at check-out the system showed that nothing had been paid. I had to wait about 30 minutes until they contacted the manager to confirm, as no record had been entered. • To make matters worse, the card machine declined my final payment, and the staff told me I had insufficient funds, even though I had just checked my account and had more than enough balance. It was simply a technical error, but it created a very uncomfortable situation, as if I were unable to pay for the restaurant charges. • The room itself also had several defects: the bathtub tap was broken, both curtains were damaged and extremely difficult to close (often requiring assistance from staff), and the soap holder in the bathroom was broken.
