Macdonald Highlands Hotel at Macdonald Aviemore Resort

The location and facilities were excellent with lots to do for adults and children. The room was clean and comfortable and there was lots of parking. It was a short drive to all the local attractions and a short walk into the centre of Aviemore for shopping or restaurants.

The male restaurant staff were very efficient but not welcoming or friendly.

Nice hotel. Staff was pleasant to deal with.

Location, lots of nice eating places and local shops. Also close to the Cairngorm mountain range and stunning scenery and lochs.

Sam in reception was really helpful when I contacted her prior to our stay. We had a great view from our room which was very clean and an excellent bed ant lighting. The heating was also excellent and could not be faulted when our room was a little cold at night. we did miss a fridge though as we prefer to buy our own milk and not use the STUPID little milk containers found in most hotels. The bathroom was excellent and only had a shower which did not worry us at all. The lift was working all the time we were there. Use of the Spa and pool was a bonus if you wanted to use them free of charge. Access to the centre of Aviemore only took a few minutes.

No hand lotion. No Fridge. No biscuits or bottled water. TV only had limited programmes which is NOT acceptable as Scandinavian Village resort next door had extensive programmes including Sky.
