"1980’s styling bedrooms"

Tired bedrooms - decor left in the 1980’s. No safe or fridge or coffee making facilities. We were kept up all night one night as person next door had tv on all night. Staff delightful & downstairs is wonderful, but a bit of a time capsule.

"Our unique stay at the George Hotel"

It was as if we're transported to another era, the hotel building, the ambience. The location is convenient opposite the park and the city centre. The room was large and comfortable, we were given an upgrade. The staff friendly and helpful. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Had a great dinner at the restaurant.

The very formal dress code required for the dinner.

"It is a must stay.. top of the tree for Stamford closely followed by the William Cecil."

This is the iconic country hotel in the heart of beautiful Stamford. The Oak Room restaurant is old world charm at its best. Beef lovers heaven.

Staff were not as friendly and a little inflexible, which was disappointing and change from the past.
