Good location next to market street, so we could just walk to nearby restaurants and spice shops. Rooms were maintained well and clean. Staff were kind when we needed assistance.

The real issue with boking this place was complete lack of intelligent customer service about the status of the reservation and payment. Although this was booked through Booking.com with a cancelable period (I had no intention to cancel) the hotel demanded payment through their own links. Credit card payments did not work. I had to pay cash by bank transfer. After that was paid, they kept asking for payment again and again. If I replied, a bot would reply asking for evidence. When I sent evidence, the bot would reply evidence was missing. In the meantime, some fraudster got my booking information and managed to get a false charge applied in the name of the Sterling booking to my credit card. I had to cancel and replace the credit card. Multiple specific inquiries about the booking went unanswered. Nobody could be bothered to answer my specific question. It was only slightly better with a separate booking in Sterling Munnar. When I tried to reach them my phone, after I held on for minutes following their AI nonsense, someone just picked up the phone and slammed it down. Happened several times. I will studiously avoid anything branded Sterling. No problem with any other hotel booking I made in India via Booking.com or its counterparts.

Intelligent customer service. One of the showers in the rooms we used gave rusty water. Our room was not availble till 3 and we had to wait although check in time was 2pm.

Trevlig personal. Det har säkert varit ett lyxhotell tidigare, men det är lite slitet nu. De hade även kunnat byta ut handdukar och annat för att enkelt förbättra intrycket.
