This hotel offers the basic necessities at a reasonable cost.

Staff asked me for a tip through Google translate for no other reason than that it was Holi. He didn’t offer me any special service—so why tip? Also, they never gave me back my change for my payment during check-in. Apparently they ran out of cash so they said they’d do it later. Never did! It was only 15 rupees, so it didn’t matter financially to me, but the fact that they never bothered to give me back my money pissed me off. Carelessness or greed? Whichever one it was, not good for a business!

Location ok

very small room, lots of mosquitoes especially at night, very noisy hard to sleep, no restaurant, very poor breafast directly to the room.

Instead of 18m2 the first room was some 7m2 (almost impossible to move for two people). The day after they changed our room with a slightly larger one (9 instead of 7!) still very far from the 18m2 de larded on the booking site.

Excellent location, can walk anywhere. Room and bathroom very clean. People are very kind and helpful. Room was perfect for me as I was traveling alone. Highly recommended.

The room was very clean, with bedding in good shape. Bathroom was well equipped, with extraction fan. Hot water worked very well. Staff was very helpful and responded quickly.

My room was on the side of a very busy street, so lots of honking very early in the morning. It's the 2nd time I stay here, so know that it's quieter on the other side. It was overpriced, but this is because it was Kumbh Mela season and Shivaratri.

We stayed 2 nights in Ananya Hotel. On the main road of Varanasi, our room was very quiet, modern and very clean. The staff was very smiling and polite and Sonu, the owner, extremely supportive and helpful. He helped us book train tickets, he organized our river morning boatrip, he recommended a very good Biryani restaurant and he was always available on WhatsApp for everything we needed. Last but not least, the hotel was value for money!
