The Laundry Rooms - Waterloo

There was a fire alarm at 5 in the morning that disturbed out sleep, will not book the place again.

First time using a fully automated Aparthotel, once we figured out the nuances and downloaded the app to access the parking, lobby and room, things went perfectly. The room was spotless and much larger than a hotel room. It is actually a single bedroom condo unit in a very new condo tower, re-purposed into a very modern hotel room with a sweeping 17th storey view of downtown Waterloo and Silver Lake beside the Perimeter Institute. Our only comment it that the windows could use a good cleaning to maximize the view as it seems there is still some construction evidence on the glass, but that is just a minor concern as the balcony itself is huge. All in all much better than any comparable hotel in the heart of a city.

Wonderful facility, spacious and clean. The only time I’ve ever stayed in the room that is EXACTLY like the photos advertised. The staff is extremely helpful, even without an official front desk.

Enige nadeel was de vrij omslachtige incheck procedure. Prima als je er een week of langer verblijft, maar omdat wij maar één nacht bleven was het in verhouding veel werk. We werden wel goed geholpen toen we er niet goed uitkwamen.

We requested early check in, which we understand may not be accommodated, but we received zero communication to advise whether it was approved or not. The bedroom carpet had debris on it, and the tea towel in the kitchen was dirty with crusted food. Also, the Wi-Fi did not work, even after rebooting the modem several times.

Pristine apartment, host was readily accessible. Walkable with lots of dining/shopping options. Modern and clean apartment, great view. All amenities available for a great stay

The suite was beautiful, trendy but practical with lots of space. Suite was spotless and even parking garage was very clean. Service from hosts was also great. They ensured everything from access to parking was seamless. The location was perfect too. Right down from Erbs Grist Mill n park n right beside some trendy, nice stores n cafes. The area of Waterloo also appeared very clean n safe, compared to most cities that size, I was pleasantly shocked. I would highly recommend staying at this Waterloo The Laundry Rooms location n would return for sure.

Great apartment/hotel in a great location. It’s a bit hands off but we got into the apartment it all seemed so easy. I little bit of figuring out where to go but the website and texts from management helped with images and videos to guide. The room was great with a full kitchen and dishes pots pans and even dishwasher. Modern and clean with a great view. We didn’t use the pool but the patio and area are nice, clean and sunny. The area around is full of bars pubs restaurants and nightlife. Some shopping too. Tons of options to eat - and a grocery store across the street if you want to stay in. Overall a great experience. Management was quick to respond to any text questions I had - and the building was very quiet.

Great space for longer stays - area is full of nightlife, restaurants and bars. It’s pretty hands-off (not a typical hotel, more of an Air bnb apartment) but staff is very fast to text back any questions I had. Access was easy once you get there and the room is well finished with dishes, pots pans etc. and a dishwasher. Very quiet building too. We would definitely stay here even just for a weekend as the area is great to hang out in. One note: if you don’t like using your phone to open every door - you can ask for a key card. I didn’t but it would have been more convenient for sure.
