Langdale Hotel & Spa

Great location and friendly staff, especially Ashley on reception.

The room was beautiful, loved big screen tv. to watch when lying in bed not straining my eyes. Loved bathroom jacuzzi. Pub was great. Umberella provided great as it rained. Breakfast was first class restaurant area was lovely. Enjoyed pool spa

Terrible service

Paid for a roomy as the cosy room looked uncomfortably small.....was shocked when we checked in...room was tiny. Asked to see a cosy room and to the eye was exactly the same size....I paced it out and it was approximately 24'" shorter but 12" wider!! We were totally disappointed and asked for our money back as we would not stay there. They offer us a room of the same size but better decor. They told us as we booked with Booking.com we could not be refunded....I called Booking.com and they emailed the hotel to say we could but the hotel ignored this email and said they would not refund. The way they dealt with this was terrible... totally dismissive. We had stayed in Brimstone the night before and although it was a good stay, we saw subtle changes there....looks like there are cost saving exercises going on. There are many hotels in the Lakes which are easier to get to and have much better rooms and service. I would choose somewhere else and avoid Langdale.
