The Blackball Inn

The building was old but 'homely'. Staff were very friendly, informative and helpful. Super amazing meal! and more than I could eat. Clean and comfortable, we would stay there again no problem.

The owners and staff were very friendly and it was interesting to learn about the history of Blackball which was reflected in the name of the bar and the photos on the wall. Our room was clean and pleasant. Dinner and breakfast were nice.

There was nothing we didn't like.

Breakfast included so that was good. However I didn't realise that there are no kitchen facilities which are usually provided if you stay in "bunk' accommodation. Should have read the B Com description more carefully

Pat and Jane are great hosts.. Really friendly and helpful. The food was very good. The inn is an excellent place to stay before starting the Paparoa track.

Loved this place, rather quirky with lots of memorabilia on display. Very comfortable bedrooms, shower block down the hall, cozy bar and restaurant, very welcoming staff and owners. Tea and coffee on a table in the hallway.
