Manager was lovely, good basic room, had exactly what we needed for a stop over. The pub was lovely too, amazing food!!

It’s a great pub-style hotel. So long as a guest is ready for the characteristics common to a pub-stay hotel in the form of downstairs crowds and patio dinners then this is a fine old historic place for a budget stay. The room was recently updated and the facilities were more than adequate. It’s a great price given its location close to rail connections.

I could make small complaints about noise in the hall or the fact that not much staff is available prior to the pub opening. But these are things we expect at this type of place.

Thought it was a room above a pub, but it was more like an Airbnb next door. Very limited sound proofing, so was woken up at 5am when the other room left. Room was tidy but not spotless clean. Have had far nicer rooms for the money nearby.

We stayed ahead of Richmond marathon so were prepared to pay a premium for this - the room was £150. Not sure whether that was an inflated price or not but the location was perfect and worth every penny! Lovely room and very friendly, helpful staff. No breakfast option for my husband who wasn't running- which was a bit of a shame - particularly as the evening food was great! Would recommend!
