Silk Inn Kagoshima

Great choice to stay here. It has a Japanese onsen ( natural thermal water bath), spa with great massage, quality rooms, great location close to main train station. Room was very good, comfortable bed.

We came to Kagoshima via Cruise and decided to go to an Onsen. When we arrive it was closed until 12:00. We went across the street for lunch then came back. The Onsen is 1300¥ which includes a towel. There were lots of choices on shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. There were 3 Onsens varying in temperatures. The one outside is for one individual. After the Onsen I asked about a massage. By far thebest massage I have ever had. No oils are used . It was 6500¥ for 65 minutes. Wow I feel awesome the relation rooms are nice as well. Thumbs up

Room is good. Reception staff is good. Nice osen in the city. Just 10 minutes to the JR station and the kagomma furusato YATAIMURA. There is a local super market near the hotel where u could buy cheap and nice ingredients.

Stayed at this hotel for 1 night with a kid. The location is excellent in Kagoshima city centre. Just next to airport bus terminal, JR Kagoshima Chuo Station, city tram terminal , AMU Plaza and AEON Supermarket. It is easily accessible to all parts of Kagoshima. A 24-hour convenient store at the corner of the main road. The hotel is clean and the room is standard in size (Japanese standard), not big but not too small. There is a air purifier in the room which is great. Everything is clean and decent in the hotel. The free onsen in the hotel is a bonus. The onsen is indoor. Hotel guest can go to onsen with your room key card anytime during the opening hours! There are massage services available at the onsen but didn’t tried this time. You could just ask the staff to reserve massage service if needed. The service of the staff is very kind and they can speak good English. I enjoyed the Hotpot dinner (Shabu shabu) at the hotel restaurant. The Kagoshima pork is super tasty and the sushi is fresh and nice! The dinning experience is great at the hotel restaurant. The hotel also has laundry room (washer and dryer in 1) so that you could wash your laundry by the coin operated machine. Very easy to use! Overall, this hotel is great and I would stay here again when I travel to Kagoshima in the future! Highly recommend to family or couple travelers!

This hotel is a few minutes walk from the Kagoshima Chuo station. It has nice onsen facility and offers great breakfast, featuring many local dishes. It has free WiFi and air purifier. Onsen has two tubs for the men's side, one with lower temperature and another one with higher temperature. The single room is compact size but it is fine for resting in bed and sleeping. I highly recommend this hotel in Kagoshima.

Quite standard amenities for a Japanese hotel. However do take note if you are intending to wash your clothes. The washing machine is based on program settling and once you set it, there is not way to off it until the whole cycle is completed. If your clothes are not able to withstand hot dryer, please do not use the laundry service.

Rooms not large, but well planned and a reasonable window. It was about 10 mins walk from the station so not as well located as some. We had a rental car for a while and the parking was on site and below our window which was great. Staff pleasant and helpful for our first experience of an onsen. Only drawback was the washing machine which took ages and cost a lot and 3 hours later we still had damp washing. No problems with noise. Wifi was good
