Alam Karang

One of our favorite places we have stayed in Indonesia. The bungalows are beautifully built and the outdoor shower and bathroom are great. The location is excellent with snorkeling right off the beach. Nice loungers with umbrellas to chill out. The restaurant serves very delicious food with a lot of variety. Also good cocktails. Prices seemed quite reasonable. Marie the owner is an avid snorkeler and knows all of the unique species of fish and coral that you can see. You can walk the beach at low tide to explore the island but make sure you book a boat trip to the other side of Gili Gede and the other islands to see everything the area has to offer. This place really has it all with the nice beach front location, snorkeling in front, beautiful lodging and a great restaurant with a friendly and knowledgeable owner who is also active in keeping the reefs protected.

Everything, we had a wonderful time at Alam Karang. The location is perfect directly on the beach and we spent 4 days there just enjoyed the place itself. We ate as well every night there and the food are amazing. Most important, Marie and her team made us feel comfortable during our stay.

Snorkeling, emplacement direct sur la plage et le lagon, déconnexion de la foule et du stess … la propriétaire Marie est non seulement très sympathique mais aussi une pointure dans la connaissance de la vie marine 👍

L’emplacement les pieds dans l’eau et le personnel très sympathique. Le restaurant de l’hôtel était très bon et les équipements de snorkeling sont compris dans la réservation. Je recommande fortement.

Mooie plek als een bounty island. De eigenaresse en haar medewerkers doen er alles aan om het je naar de zin te maken. Zeer zorgzaam en lief. Ze hebben zowel het vervoer bij aankomst op Gili Gede als vertrek geregeld. Jammer dat het weer niet echt meezat.

Enige opmerkingen zijn dat de badkamer af en toe sterk rook. Had ook het idee dat de vloer niet echt goed schoon te houden is. Gedoucht hebben we er niet omdat de straal minimaal was. Mogelijk komt dit door tijdelijke stroomuitval en watertoevoer. Ook het water in de wastafel was echt veel minder na grote stroomuitval i.v.m. noodweer.

Die Gastgeberin Marie ist sehr um ihre Gäste bemüht und hat uns auf einen tollen Schnorchelausflug begleitet. Das Essen ist sehr gut. Man hat das Kajak gratis ausleihen können und bei Ebbe am Strand entlang in den authentischen Fischerort laufen können. Wunderschöner Blick vom Bungalow direkt am Strand aufs Meer.

Der Strand ist bei Ebbe zum Schwimmen nicht so toll, aber es gibt ganz nah eine tiefere Stelle zum ins Wasser gehen.

Hotel stupendo immerso nel verde dell’isola di Gili Gede e direttamente sulla spiaggia. Dormire con il suono del mare è impagabile. Camera pulita, bagno molto ampio e originale. Ristorante ottimo dove la proprietaria Marie ha trovato il giusto equilibrio tra cibo tradizionale e francese. Tutto lo staff e Marie ti fanno sentire a casa. Consigliamo la gita in barca per fare Snorkling in presenza della proprietaria che ti trasmette tutto l’amore per questo mare.

Abbiamo avuto un piccolo problema con il condizionatore ma lo staff si è attivato immediatamente per risolverlo

Hôtel très agréable à Gili Gede. Le personnel est disponible et très accueillant. Les repas sont bons . C'est un hôtel pour se déconnecter et profiter de la nature et du calme de l'île.
