Clean room and comfy bed. It has a big potential to become a really 4-star hotel.

There are not many options at breakfast, especially vegetables and fruits for a "5 stars" hotel. The staff at the reception can be friendlier and more sociable. I was told nothing about other amenities like spa/pool, etc. Nothing, unless you ask.

There is not a lot of choice for hotels in Kyzylorda, but this is the best of the batch. It seems to be quite popular with young brides who come here to have their wedding pictures taken. The breakfast buffet is good with a lot of items to choose from. Also, the staff does not speak a lot of English, but tried to accommodate any request I had.

For the price of the room and the supposed quality of the hotel, there are a few areas where they’ve cut corners a little too close to save money. The most disappointing was the bed. I can’t speak for every room, but in my room the bed has a box spring instead of a regular mattress. So, not only is it very hard, but you have very stiff springs poking you in the back all night. I woke up sore each morning. Also, the air conditioning is controlled centrally by the hotel and was set to 77F (26C) in my room. It was not a deal breaker, but a bit warmer than I prefer. The room was a bit dark with no overhead lighting. They had a floor lamp and one table lamp, but it was not enough to brighten up the room.
