Surfpoint Sri Lanka Kite Village

Super nice host and staff really helpful and kind people. The location is perfect for kitesurfing and other trips like dolphin watching or diving. Enjoyed my stay and can really recommend coming here!

Maybe it was also because we spent more days here during our tour of Sri Lanka, but this place will be especially memorable for us. First of all, it is beautifully located, with a wonderful view from the terrace. Delicious food - a different dinner every day. Super nice service that really wants you to feel comfortable. Additionally, there was a great team from the kitesurfing school - we rented equipment, including me who was trying to get back into the sport after a long break - they were extremely helpful and saved me from trouble many times. We loved this place so much, we recommend Surfpoint wholeheartedly!

What an amazing place. Located next to beautiful Swimming beach. The hotel has a nice chillout/restaurant with ocean view. The staff is absolutely great. Dinner is delicious. Room was big and clean and had oceanview. We just had an amazing stay. Thank you!

I had room number 6 upstairs which is the best room as a corner room and the breeze blew through beautifully. Breakfast was good but I asked for local food and not Western and this was so much better.

Dirty beach and staff had no interest in cleaning at all. The whole property needed a good clean in general - so much potential but sadly seems no interest or guidance. Very remote.

Great staff and clean spacious rooms.with modern bathrooms The views of sea is so beautiful and you can swim straight out the front. The food was good, be prepared for big portions. I liked that they offered free drinking water refills and help yourself coffee in the morning at breakfast. We didn't do the kite surfing but experienced surfers said they offered excellent lessons. It's a great place to go to for a coastal village hangout.

Yoda the dog, and the one meal we had for dinner was good. Unfortunately not a lot more else to say.

We weren’t told that the accommodation was under construction, so we quite literally were staying on what felt like a construction site. Had to ask for a blanket, water, food. Nothing really offered to us and very poor communication. We were quoted an exorbitant price to drive 4km into town via tuk tuk for an ATM. We felt almost rude asking for anything at all. We were offered a dolphin tour but it was 125$ US just to hire boat and then extra to see dolphins despite it being low season (no one else staying in the accommodation). Also, so so many flies due to fish and food scraps so bring spray of some sort.
