Moksha at Kitulgala - Rainforest Boutique Hotel

Our family stay at Moksha Hotel was absolutely wonderful! Nestled in the heart of the jungle, the hotel offers a truly unique experience with private access to a stream and a natural pool, which were perfect for relaxing and reconnecting with nature. Right from our warm welcome, the staff made us feel at home and were exceptionally attentive to our needs. Everything, the food and staff were definitely the highlight of the stay. Could fault anything about the hotel itself and the rooms were beautiful.

Location is only good if you want to just relax. Quite hard to do anything else as a solo travelly, good for families though with excursions available. Only other problem I had was the shower temperature was a little wonky, it got cold and warm etc. nothing too serious in my opinion I love it here

Staff was super friendly and approachable. I also liked their food which felt a lot cleaner than other foods we had in Sri Lanka. Like less oily etc. also absolutely loved having the option to go into the fresh river pond where you can see clear water and tiny fish. It was really cool and refreshing.

The room was not very clean with spider webs and could use some touch up (like a fresh coat of paint). I get that we were in a jungle ish area but there were really a lot of bugs in the room. For the price point, we would've expected a better maintained place.

Except the location and nice landscape around, nothing to say about the hotel itself

Was worst experience I have had. Food portion were very small and not tasty at all, almost starving ! We asked to have coconut, they charged us 4 usd the coconut at our checkout! This is so non profesionnal! Pitty to have such nice venue and landscape but horrible service

The Location was just stunning, swimming in the little river was an absolute experience i will never forget, The owner the stuff the food - in general i felt rarely like that good and comfortable!
