Cosy and vibrant Inn/ hotel, friendly and helpful staff,clean rooms, Even tho we didn't use housekeeping while we were there the housekeeper still checked if we needed anything, the bar is well stocked and kept well., Estrella was perfect on tap😁Food is amazing and there's a great choice,you can come and go as you like through a side entrance with your own key fobs. It gets very busy so if you want to eat book ahead of time. We have stayed around 4 times now and we will definitely be back 😍

The room was very dated and dirty. I could not find a single member of staff on site when I left at 8.30am.

Manager was more than frank on her opinions about sharing a drink with my colleague that was not bought at the bar. I'm 67 , I don't need a condescending rebuke if I infringe a rule - just tell me politely and I will adapt my behaviour. Also the entire charge was taken from the ard I used for the booking, which meant i paid for my colleague's room. It took many weeks to get this reimbursed. Can reception not slow down just a tad in capturing payment. We can't run away, you have a credit card number and full details from a repeat guest.

Very well presented, comfortable bed, lovely grounds and very friendly staff

Quality of the food from the hotel restaurant wasn’t great. After a disappointing dinner we decided against having breakfast in the hotel the next day. Buses from near the hotel to Lichfield city centre are quite infrequent, but it’s a short and not too expensive taxi journey.

The situation of The Hedgehog is good, being on the outskirts of Lichfield and easily accessible. The room was warm and comfortable. Bonus marks for providing a vibrating under-pillow fire alarm - not all accommodations supply this. The staff couldn't have been more helpful, on reception, and also responding immediately when the electric kettle failed to work.

Ventilation via the window was difficult. There was no wardrobe and the hanging rack for clothes was free-standing and made out of plumbing pipes bolted together. It really spoiled the feel of the room. The bathroom was a bit smelly - due to the shower drain, maybe?

Spacious, comfortable, clean room with all the little extras. Good breakfast freshly cooked. Varied menu for dinner. Ate on 2 nights both of which was good and catered well with allergies. All staff we met where helpful and friendly.

Public areas are ready for redecoration.
