Lovely historic hotel. Stayed many times in the last thirty years and never been disappointed.👌😊

The location was great, food was ok.

The room kettle did not work and was reported to reception but nothing was done. pretty poor to be honest. The room was poor value and expensive for what was a very basic room, mould on the bath and shower. not a nice hotel at all, they could do much better. We would not stay again.

Excellent location, so close to the Llanberis train station and the slate quarry as well as the venue for the Slateman Triathlon. The restaurant also is excellent

Interiors slightly old, and due to high season we paid quite a high price. But for the location it was worth it I suppose

Rooms, corridors, everything was decrepit and in bad taste. No attempt to make it pleasing. Room overlooked by public path but not even a net curtain for privacy. Given one key for two persons when the key is required to get into the building as well as the room. Breakfast features tinned fruit cocktail in June when the markets are full of fresh fruit. All this for 280 pounds a night!!! Original building and location are excellent. What wasted potential.

Modern

The window on main room wouldn’t lock! Food was overpriced and not hot enough, staff should ask if food ok but didn’t, staff at bar look understaffed and fed up! Main reception need to know proper information when I asked if we needed to book for evening meal she said yes so we had to que up at bar to be told no you just turn up 🤷‍♀️

Food was nice

The cleaner was in our room at 9am, we did not clock out until 11am. This did not give us the opportunity to use our room or check in case we'd forgotten anything. Also, we ordered food and the staff forgot our fries.
