Milverton House

Breakfast was great. Asked each morning what you would like and always plenty. In a great location close to everything which is handy. The pier is just a very short distance away.

The front steps are not great for people with walking issues. Once you get through the door your not greeted with a hello but the rules of the guest house. Your then told you key is on the bed with the rules AGAIN. Regarding the lift! You've not to use the lift after 10.30pm so could not stay out any later than this as I was traveling with 80 year old mother who could not manage the stairs to the second floor. In a room with two very small single beds (one turn and your on the floor) We stayed for three days and was told that they do not come into the room again or changed the towels. It is not 4* as advertised! My sister stayed in a B&B two street back in a 3* and had beds made and fresh towels every day. The lady even left them little treats on the bed. Wished I booked here instead! Then upon leaving I was accused off smoking in the room. I do not smoke and my 80 year old mother definitely doesn't smoke.

Excellent room on the second floor right next to the lift which was great as my friend cannot manage the stairs . Excellent breakfast, excellent and helpful host and excellent location. Nothing not to like about our stay.

The best location! Walk out of the door, and you are right in the heart of the Town, and to the other side is the promenade and Pier. The owners were extremely helpful, and nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend a stay at Milverton House.

Very convenient situation, we could easily reach shops and restaurants. The Hostess was very friendly and helpful.

Parking was a bit difficult.

Shower, two single beds,

Only to be told that we would have to pay for more milk and coffee we both like milky coffee. We were not supplied enough. That’s a first for us.
