El Sano Banano Beachside Hotel

Fantastic staff, great location and great food.

Beds are a bit uncomfortable but that seems to be the norm in smaller hotels around Costa Rica

We liked the hotel, the beach, the town and location. The outdoor patio restaurant was very nice and food was delicious.

We felt the bathroom should have had a fan as there was no way to open any windows to let air circulate. We even kept the room door open part of the day and night just to let in some fresh air.

The location was right in the center of town, it was easy access to everything. The staff were very accommodating to us arriving early & storing our things.

There was a smell of sewage from our room off & on. The walls seemed pretty thin, you could hear from noise from people talking the adjacent room

Very friendly staff who were extremely accommodating and willing to help out with anything. The restaurant food was very good and well presented. Access to the sister hotels pool was a real bonus that was most welcome.

A bedside lamp to reduce the glare of the main room lights would have been nice but not essential.

It's decorated real cute. It's a very nice hotel.

Having to put Toilet paper in the waste basket.

Great location,just around the corner from the town square, which steps down to the beach. Excellent food. We were able to use Yiang Yiangs pool. The manager Jairo was a gem of a human being and very accommodating.

No ice machine , but the kitchen staff took care of that as needed, to fill our water tumblers. Which may have been better that way and cleaner!

This hostel was accommodating to our last-minute booking. It was clean and central to everything in town. The restaurant it was above was very delicious. Very easy to check in and out. Beds were comfortable. Shower worked well. Walkable to everything. 2 minute walk to the beach.

Room had no windows facing outside, only towards the hallway. Was not a big deal though, as we didn't stay in the room much, except for sleeping.
