Leider wurde uns das Frühstück berechnet obwohl es bei der Buchung bei Booking enthalten gewesen sein sollte. Schade.
CHBeautiful beach front location with a pool 15mins from the hustle of Arugam. The cabanas are clean and spacious with lots of thoughtful little details to make your stay more comfortable. Everything you need from surf coaching to safari can be arranged directly from the hotel. The staff are super friendly and helpful too.
CAWe really loved Stay Golden. From the moment we got there, the service from the owners as well as every staff member was outstanding. Our family suite was beautiful and had everything we needed. The restaurant had great food and an amazing relaxed atmosphere. I loved the yoga classes also. The resort is great for all ages whether you are a young traveller or a family. The resort sits on a beautiful stretch of beach that is just a short walk to town and the main surf break. We would return for sure!

BRStay Golden is one of the best places to stay at Arugam Bay. It’s probably the best place close to Main Point, in case you are there for the surfing, which was my case. It’s a 15min walk to the surf spot. Everything worked pretty well at the hotel. Room was spacious, very clean, well decorated, with excellent bed, quiet ac and nice bathroom. Staff was amazing, always smiling and ready to help you. Even though there are many places to go out for lunch and dinner at town, Stay Golden restaurant was high score. Had one of the best meals around. Breakfast options were very good too.
My only topic here was the amount of flies in the restaurant. I know this kind of thing usually happens when you have an open restaurant, but believe me, sometimes I thought they would fly my meal away…it was very annoying. I also had to deal with this problem at my own restaurant in my home town and we could fix it…so I guess owners should look for an alternative there too.
DEDie Anlage war sehr gepflegt und super schön. Das Zimmer war auch wunderschön. Das Personal war total nett und das Essen war super lecker. Insgesamt haben wir den Aufenthalt sehr genossen.
Es gibt nur zwei Kleinigkeiten die ein ganz bisschen doof waren. Das Bett war etwas kurz ca. 1.85cm und leider ist das Meer vor der Anlage etwas rau, man kann dort nicht so leicht schwimmen oder surfen. Ansonsten war aber alles super.
NLHet was onze beste verblijf in Sri Lanka, super leuk om zo'n hip strandhuisje te delen met het gezin. De kamers waren zeer comfortabel en het personeel super oprecht en vriendelijk. Onze kinderen hebben zich fantastisch vermaakt met de kids van de eigenaren en het zwembad. Het eten en drinken was goed en uitgebreide keuze. De prijzen voor sommige producten waren wel aan de hoge kant. Zoals een koffie voor €2,70 vind ik in Sri Lanka prijzig.
Er viel absoluut niks tegen! Ga zo door en hopelijk mogen jullie nog lang deze plek hosten!
AUThe staff were always so friendly, the pool is definitely a massive plus to this property, the rooms were very clean and very comfortable, always hot water and good pressure. The food in the restaurant was amazing every meal we had was superb.
RSThe accommodation is clean, modern, and very well maintained. The service is excellent, and the staff are extremely friendly, always willing to help with anything you need. The property features a large swimming pool and direct access to the beach, which makes the stay even more enjoyable. As for the food, there is a wide variety of options and everything is delicious. Overall, nothing but praise for this place.
CHEverything - the amenities, the staff and also the food
DEDer Strand-Bungalow hat uns sehr gefallen, es ist toll eingerichtet, groß und verfügt über alles was man braucht. Der Strand ist wunderschön und war aufgrund der Nebensaison herrlich leer. Es stehen überdachte Sonnenliegen zur Verfügung (diese erschienen teilweise etwas in die Jahre gekommen). Schwimmen im Meer ist aufgrund des Wellengangs nicht gut möglich, es gibt jedoch einen schönen Pool der für Abkühlung sorgt und Platz für kurze Bahnen bietet. Das Team war sehr nett und wir fühlten uns sehr wohl. Aufgrund der Nebensaison hatten nur wenige Restaurants in der Umgebung geöffnet, das war jedoch nicht weiter schlimm weil man im Hotel eigentlich alles bekommt was man braucht. Wir konnten unkompliziert und zu einem fairen Preis einen Roller mieten, Fahrräder stehen kostenfrei zur Verfügung.
Die Unterkunft erschien uns sehr Familien- und Kinderfreundlich, es war immer gut was los und laut aufgrund spielender und tobender Kinder. Uns hat das überhaupt nicht gestört, für einen längeren Aufenthalt wäre es aber etwas was ich (als kinderloses Paar im Urlaub) wissen wollen würde.
