Lovely family run hotel very convenient for Val Veny cable car access into the Courmayeur ski area

Great value for money but, you’re not paying for the Ritz so don’t expect too much!

Wonderful location. Traditional family run hotel with amazing views. Parking at the property and quiet location. The family were so welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Good continental breakfasts 3 good restaurants and a bar a few minutes walk away. 10 minute drive down to Cormeyeur town. The real plus of this location is that if you hire skis/boots at Val Veny, they are left at the shop overnight so no need to walk back to the hotel in boots etc. A big bonus. The Val Veny cable car is a 5-10 minute easy walk from the hotel. There is also a car park there.

The beds were a bit on the hard side. No tea/coffee facilities in the rooms

Family feel and warm welcoming by all staff

Very easily accessible and ample parking. We got a very warm and helpful welcome. The building, despite being a hotel, doesn't have that cheap, prefab style elements you'll find in too many hotels these days. It has a very traditional and authentic appearance with a touch of old grandeur which makes you feel a traveller, rather than a tourist. The room, with practical furnishing, has plenty of space and was cleaned thorougly by the staff (even our own wine glasses were cleaned, 1st time ever!!). Located close to an all too cozy café and some very fine resaurants. A 5 minutes car or bus trip brings you straight to the mighty beautiful Val Ferret or, if you take the other direction, to Courmayeur.

excellent breakfast, friendly staff, clean. We drove to Val Veny lift each day as the walk back up the hill at the end of the day in ski boots was unappealing. Even after a heavy dump of snow this was straightforward with snow tyres. Had some good meals out nearby, didn't see any bars close by but then we weren't looking for them either!
