A beautifully furnished and maintained heritage bungalow with excellent service and amazing meals. The Chettinad meal at lunch was one of the best I have had. There were multiple options for breakfast and dinner.

Well, it is not a classic Chettinad mansion, if one is keen on staying in one. One has to travel by car for about half an hour to see the mansions in Kanadukattan and Athangudi. A few houses in Chettinad style are within walking distance, but they are not open for viewing. There is also disturbance in the morning from the speakers in a nearby place of worship.

Only the property was well restored.

Food was bad, bathrooms were so open that we can hear all kind of unpleasant sounds from the washroom while we r in the bedroom. Not even complementary water was provided. Not worth for the price they charge.

Sehr schönes, ruhiges und gepflegtes Refugium im Kolonialstil, wunderbar im Originalstil eingerichtete Zimmer, netter Speisesaal, gute Küche mit aufmerksamem Service.

Der Empfang war etwas „kühl“, die Rezeption etwas unübersichtlich, keine Bemühung um das Gepäck. Als Besonderheit werden zu den üblichen Essenszeiten vom Chefkoch zusammengestellte Menüs serviert. Sie variieren einwenig, um auch den nicht-indischen Gästen entgegen zu kommen. Die eigene Auswahl ist damit jedoch ziemlich beschränkt. Die Qualität ist zwar gut, unterscheidet sich aber kaum von einem großzügigen Büffet-Angebot in einem vergleichbar guten Hotel.
