Everything about his property is too good . Starting frm their food, rooms , hospitality. Everything js top notch.

Everything. The ambience is delightful and the staff are very helpful. Food is wonderful befitting the accolades in the Indian cuisine and travel press.

It's not that we don't like it but the hotel is next to a busy road. First time visitors should be aware of this so as not to be disappointed. The relaxing atmosphere will more than make up for it.

We booked their dinner however, it was very very average and not very authentic. We were really looking forward to it however we were quite disappointed with the dinner. I mean who serves aloo sabzi in a fine dine. curd rice was also very very basic and bland. It was catering to the european and the american pallette! too bland. definitely not chettinad flavours! I believe this colonial hangover needs to end.

We had a wonderful time. Everyone was very kind, helpful and courteous. I highly recommend The Bangala for visiting Chettinad.

Rooms were fresh and clean

The food could have been better . Breakfast was only idli and dosa . Preparation and spread were both average Dinner : we had booked try his property only based on reviews for the food . The food was average and did not live up to our expectations . Few examples : certain items like zucchini tempura were out of place and distinctly average . Staples like sambar and rasam were missing . The spread should be more expansive than it was . Options for vegetarians were limited . The dosa was sweet and soggy. Some items were good but we were left disappointed .
