Altana Heritage Suites

We arrived quite late at night, but were warmly welcomed by Mario with a glass of Vinsanto (the best Santorini wine) and homemade cherry juice. He showed us the map, gave us recommendations for restaurants, hotspots, and even some local hidden gems – such a lovely start. We stayed in the Honeymoon Villa for 5 nights and the view was simply breathtaking – probably the best we’ve ever had. The villa itself is huge, with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, a large terrace, and a private hot tub. It used to be an old wine cellar from the 18th century, which gives it a very special charm. The location is perfect – very private, unlike many other accommodations along the Caldera paths. The service was world-class: breakfast served daily to the terrace, rooms cleaned and towels changed every day. The staff was really helpful with the luggage and everything around! Mario’s brothers, Christoph and Michael, were also incredibly helpful with transfers and restaurant reservations. Everything was organized perfectly. We are deeply grateful for this stay and can only highly recommend Altana Heritage – the best view in Santorini and unforgettable hospitality.

The location and views were beyond our wildest expectations ! Our suite had our own plunge pool/jacuzzi and terrace with a spacious living area and separate bedroom. This was the best hotel out of the 15 hotels in our 35 day trip ! Besides the beautiful accommodations and room service breakfast to order, the service was superb! Michael and all the staff were so friendly and always ready to help with anything we requested. Santorini is a dream vacation and we will definitely be back at Altana Suites ! Thank you

The location in Imerovigli is absolutely perfect for exploring Santorini with fewer crowds. The bistro was excellent, the best meals we had on Santorini, and the staff were all incredibly friendly and welcoming. Loved!

В номере была собственная джакузи с регулируемой температурой, что стало настоящим удовольствием после насыщенного дня. Каждое утро на террасе сервировали вкусный и разнообразный завтрак, а виды на кальдеру просто завораживают — настоящий подарок для глаз. Особенно хочется отметить заботу персонала: в последний вечер нашего пребывания неожиданно была объявлена забастовка моряков, а нам нужно было вернуться в Афины на следующий день. Сотрудники отеля сразу откликнулись — связывались с другими перевозчиками, искали альтернативные варианты и помогали подобрать билеты, удобные по времени и цене. Это внимание и поддержка в стрессовой ситуации заслуживают отдельной благодарности. Всё чисто, уютно, персонал доброжелательный. Отличный выбор для тех, кто ищет комфорт, покой и немного роскоши.

Есть и несколько моментов, которые хотелось бы улучшить. Несмотря на то что во время пребывания у меня был день рождения, отель никак не отметил этот факт — даже небольшое внимание было бы приятным. Вода в бассейне оказалась очень холодной, долго плавать было невозможно. Было бы здорово, если бы температуру можно было регулировать, как в джакузи. Также стоит учитывать, что именно наш номер находился рядом с рецепцией, и приватность ощущалась не полностью. Рядом постоянно проходили туристы, особенно те, кто устраивал фотосессии, и это немного мешало уединению. На завтраке, если хочется поесть на террасе, тоже приходится сидеть рядом с общей зоной, где могут быть люди, которые иногда заглядывают, что снижает ощущение приватности. Кроме того, зонт на террасе не обеспечивает достаточной защиты от солнца — особенно утром, когда хочется спокойно позавтракать, не попадая под прямые солнечные лучи. Было бы здорово, если бы зонт можно было регулировать или заменить на более эффективный. В целом, отель оставил приятное впечатление, особенно благодаря атмосфере, заботе персонала и потрясающим видам. Но есть нюансы, которые стоит учитывать при выборе номера.

Our stay in Imerovigli was wonderful. The food was delicious, and the landscape was stunning. The hotel had an incredible view, the breakfast was very good, the pool was great, and the staff service was excellent. Even though we had an issue with our room reservation, the staff handled it in the best possible way and solved it quickly. The restaurants recommended by the hotel were also very good. I highly recommend renting a quad or scooter to explore the island — it’s very practical and easy to park.

The water at the hotel was a bit saline (which I believe is common in many parts of the island). Because the houses are white, they reflect the sunlight a lot, which makes the heat feel even stronger—this is not really a disadvantage, but something to be prepared for. The stairs also make accessibility a bit tricky, which is expected in Santorini, so I recommend traveling with light luggage to avoid difficulties on the way to the hotel. Fortunately, the hotel offers a luggage carrying service, which is very helpful.

People are very patient and nice. The view is spectacular. I highly recommend.

The views were exceptional, the quality of accommodation was excellent, the staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating. Great customer service from all. Imerovigli was a less crowded more atmospheric place to stay. Michael, Christos, Petros and Santiago and excellent housekeeping all contributed to an unforgettable stay. Highly recommend.
