Over priced dirty needs refurbishing

Room 12 to small. Frosted windows. Dark and dull. Rats active at night, in the attic running around all night. At 05.30hrs some idiot emptied lots of bottles into the glass skip. Floorboards creaking when ever you moved. Lights not working. After the rats had stopped, some / group of people were smoking and talking loud under the window. The door to rooms 12 and14 (at the top of the stairs) kept banging and creaking. I missed breakfast because I needed sleep. I didn't sleep all night. It was our wedding anniversary on 13th and also my wife's birthday, Everything was ruined! More comfortable at home.

Love the location like using the sauna steamroom and Jaccuzzi.

The room run down stains on the carpet mould on the ceiling cracked bath panel old rusty bathroom bin. Worst room ive ever stayed in at the property as its my 5th visit.

Dinner in the restaurant was very good and plentiful. All the staff were courteous and friendly. Good parking.

Opaque windows in 2 of the rooms meant we could not see out at all. There was no advice regarding this in any of the information. Apparently we overlooked service areas which meant early morning noise. There was also a light outside my bedroom window which was on all night and very bright. The receptionist I spoke to suggested I could have paid for an upgrade. The bed was very hard. The heating was not working in either room. Our third room was not as clean as preferred and, as it was above the pool area, very hot. The rooms were not serviced during our stay, not even to replenish tea/coffee. Meandering corridors and stairs, with many fire doors to negotiate made access quite difficult for one of our group, This hotel is very BROWN, the decor needs updating throughout and adds to the impression of grubbiness.
