Hotel Kinich Ahau

Convenient location, across the street from a local Walmart where we bought bottle water cheap. The host Pablo was very nice and helpful. He cooked us breakfast in the early morning per our request.

Room had the smell of dampness but with air conditioning running it was better later. The shower head could be upgraded because water was spread widely that you didn’t feel much water spraying.

Stayed for one night when we arrived in Yucatan. The area around is not the prettiest, but it is safe to walk. It is not a hotel- it is bed and breakfast-room was big,clean, there is a swimming pool, good breakfast. Kind owners told us where to eat in the evening,where to go.

It is a walk from the center, but it is quiet.

It’s a lovely property in a really great location - walking distance to everything you’ll want access to while in town. The room is very clean and the bed is super comfy! I unfortunately didn’t have time to use the pool, but it is also very clean and well maintained. Last but not least, Pablo is wonderful! He is so kind and welcoming, and offered recommendations/assistance when needed. Every night, he confirmed what time I’d like breakfast, which consisted of tea, fruit, toast, and my choice of eggs any style, quesadilla, or pancakes. He’s a great cook!

This is a cute hotel, with rooms set around a small courtyard that has a pool. The room we stayed in was very spacious, with 2 double beds and lots of space around to leave your suitcases. There was a small fridge to keep your water and beers cold. The hotel is a few blocks walk from the ADO terminal, but not on a main road, so it is quiet and peaceful, we had very good sleeps here. There is a supermarket very close by to buy beer, snacks, water etc. A highlight is also the breakfast that is included, cooked fresh by the owner. He was really friendly and nice. I highly recommend this hotel!

Everything was fantastic!

I really wanted to like the property! It’s a small property with a couple of rooms and nice pool. We booked the family room and there were a couple of issues - the AC remote control was not working well, the flush was loose and constantly unplugged, and the water flow was dismal. The staff was also not around at the time we needed help with things, so we left it as it was. The breakfast was great!

It’s an OK value for money, the hotel has a nice swimming pool

The rooms are run down, the water pressure is bad, there were some problems with electricity and sewage. The streets nearby are poorly lit and unpleasant to walk.

The room was comfortable and clean. The staff were very pleasant!

The lobby and public spaces were worn, run down, and dirty. There were no dishes, cups ,cutlery, in the room although there was a fridge and microwave( kitchette).

This is such a lovely little place to stay with really kind, helpful hosts. They gave great recommendations for places to eat and things to see. The hotel is really close to the centre and it’s such a safe town. There is a supermarket nearby and in just 10 mins you’re near the main square and loads of restaurants. The pool is perfect for a dip when you’ve been out all day!

Nothing really! Maybe a kettle so I could make a cup of tea but I’ve found they aren’t typical in Mexico anyway!
