This is a wonderful, small hotel off the beaten track. The staff (including Dilki, Lakshitha and Malith) were all very friendly and helpful. The food was different at every meal and cooked from local ingredients. Every dish was a surprise and very delicious. We ate vegetarian food. The hotel is dedicated to sustainability. The swimming pool was very nice. To swim in the sea you have to walk quite far along the beach. Our room had a fantastic view of the beach. There was plenty of wildlife to see. We went on a cycling tour through the village which was a great experience. The local river safari is definitely worth it for bird spotting and the sunset. We loved it here

We had an open air shower but it had very little water in it, so very difficult to shower. The WiFi was slow, especially in the bedroom

The staff couldn’t do enough to please us, everyone was exceptionally kind and helpful, a big thank you to Dikki. The care for sustainability and the local community must be praised Stunning surrounding on an amazing beach.

The common areas could do with a bit of care and few elements of deco, develop the bar on the first floor. We asked to have lunch up there and the view is amazing People must be aware that you can’t swim near the hotel (the ocean is rough snd dangerous) and must walk along the beach to reach a swimming area.

Amazing place. Over the course of my holiday this was by far the best place we stayed. Quiet, relaxing, very friendly and kind staff. The food was exceptional and if i find myself in the region of Sri lanka again I plan on going back.

Nothing, it was perfect

Ravanna Garden is a boutique hotel like no other. The staff, food, rooms, garden, pool, beach are all exceptional. It is a little oasis in an otherwise busy world! On Arrival there is building works going on which a little off putting, but no one is disturbed by it and once walked beyond it you arrive into the oasis! The rooms are large, super clean and comfortable with every facility needed . NOTE - on arrival you are asked to let them know if ,and when, you would like your room cleaned. Remember this is an eco hotel, therefore how often do you really need your towels and linen changing ?! The food is exceptional, organic, local, and you can even buy their own local spices. The service throughout is excellent and they cannot do enough to ensure your stay with them is nothing short of everything you would like. A walk along the beach is must to the harbour wall where there is a safe swimming spot, and many of the locals converge there. Be brave and stay longer than 1 or 2 nights, it is very much well worth it - there are added surprises along the way and the team do everything they can. Bikes are available to go the local temple and a visit with a hotel guide to show the effects of the Tsunami is a must, plus the wildlife and roadside stores make for a very interesting visit.

Loved the healthy organic food. Staff were so lovely, friendly and helpful. Rooms were beautiful with lovely interior and comfy beds. Pool area was clean, quiet and towels drinks delivered to beds. Loved getting coconut water delivered to room on first day. New year eve and day was lovely with Sri Lankan dancing and a Buddhist blessing. Highly recommended.

It was quite far away from any towns with any shops. We unfortunately couldnt do private dining or fishing due to the weather. We also wanted a babysitter but we had a communication problem and the staff thought we meant baby chair ! Not a problem though as our 7 year old sat in the library with Ipad. Take mosquito spray, we got bitten alot.

Amazing food, and such a relaxing stay. The staff were exceptionally kind and helpful for all our needs. The location added to the relaxing holiday a wonderful experience to say the least.

Many bugs but due to the location it’s inevitable although their are solutions to prevent the bug invasion

Beautiful room and hotel. The pool and beach were great. Nicest staff we have had in Sri Lanka.

The location was too quiet for our taste (but very peaceful). In our opinion the number of courses were unnecessary and relatively similar. We gave feedback on the food, some of which was taken into account.

An amazing boutique hotel right on the beach. Extremely relaxing and comfortable stay in a beautiful spacious room overlooking the Indian Ocean. The staff make this place feel even more wonderful and welcoming! The food is amazing with traditional Sri Lankan cuisine and the fruit juices are to die for! Highly recommend this gem if you are looking for a relaxed and chilled experience by the sea and surrounding by natural beauties!
