The Tobermory Hotel

Location was ideal. Walking distance to everything in the township including walks. Fabulous view from the bedroom window. Room was warm and comfortable.

Die Zimmer waren nicht sauber, insbesondere der Boden. Der Eingang zu unserem Zimmer lag an einem kleinen Innenhof, wo nur der Müll gelagert und geraucht wurde. Besonders der Eingangsbereich zum Zimmer war in sehr schlechtem Zustand und mit Lebensmittelmotten übersäht, die leider auch im Zimmer waren. Die Bettwäsche und Handtücher waren nicht sauber.

Loved the breakfast. Loved the location. Easy to leave my dog in the room. Liked the addition of the robe and slippers

Window was hard to open. Walls are thin, I could hear everything from the hotel. I was told the shared bathroom was opposite my room but it wasn’t it was downstairs and past the front door. The room could do with more hanging hooks. The table in the room was pointless as not stable. Would have been nice to have a chair in there. The shared bathroom wasn’t cleaned every day so ran out of toilet roll.

Great location and outlook. Breakfasts were very good.

Cross the hall ensuite bathroom. Bed was just ok. Some staff quite inexperienced but tried very hard to assist.

An exceptional location right on Tobermory's main street. Free on-street parking right outside, although the Ledaig free car park is only a 2 minute walk also. Single bedroom on the 1st floor was small with only a skylight window, but was clean & tidy. Fine for my one night stay. The shared bathroom was on the ground floor and was huge, and very clean. Breakfast was buffet style in the neighbouring bar / restaurant with a good choice of cooked food. Would stay again.

Breakfast was good, staff were helpful and the (second!) room was fine.

There is an annex to the hotel a few doors down the road. We had booked a 'sea view' room and paid for the privilege. When we checked in we were sent to a ground floor room in the annex. The only way we could see the sea was to open our curtains so all passersby could see straight in. The room itself was the standard of a poor B&B, not a hotel. I protested and was then shown to a refurbished second floor room in the main hotel with a great view, which we happily accepted but which, given it was available and we had paid for it, should have been offered in the first place. THIS ANNEX SHOULD NOT BE SOLD AS PART OF THE HOTEL - MAKE SURE YOU ARE NOT BEING BOOKED INTO IT. IT ALMOST RUINED OUR STAY IN TOBERMORY.

The location was right on the main street, which was great for accessibility. We only came to the island to do a puffin tour so it was easy to access the ferry from there. Breakfast was really good, the staff were nice and accommodating.

There was hardly any communication with anyone upon checking in and checking out. When asking the bartenders (who were the ones to give us the keys) some basic questions, they really couldn't answer much, like they didn't know anything about the hotel or the town. That made it a bit challenging but otherwise, it was fine.

Te dynamic pricing as due to the nature of my visit I had to delay and the price increased by around 40% in around 10 days

The view was stunning and the service was great.

Our room was quite small and being tall, we had some discomfort.
