Hotel Restaurant Bergheim

The host is a very warm and kind person. Despite our poor german speaking language we found a common understanding :) The hotel itself is in a very peaceful location with marvelous view on surrounding mountains. Parking and WiFi free of charge. The breakfasts were very comfortable and tasty. The restaurant has some interesting specialities for lunch in menu, and I was personally amazed by the large salad of mixed vegetables - I think I might get addicted to it, if our stay was longer :D We were aware that the toilet/shower-room is going to be shared, but we were lucky that it wasn't so occupied during our stay, thus for us it was not that bothersome, as we initially assumed. We received at the reception a benefit card for regional attractions with some price incentives. To hiking entusiast, I recommend to take a 7-Gipfel-Tour, a 5-7 hour, 15-20 km (depending on taking the gondola-lift or not) track going through 7 Alpine tops with unforgettable views. The only slightly onerous thing was a tiny corridor with high steps, leading from 1st to the 2nd floor, a little challenging for carrying the luggage up and down.

The views were amazing. We had a room to the mountain side and the road which was just fine but the other to the valley was impressive. There is parking available and the breakfast was very good, also with a great view. There is also a bus stop right in front but we did not use it. The staff were very nice and helped us with our questions.

The walls were a bit thin but it was OK, no one is having a party up there anyway!
