Golden Retreat

Very convenient for transport links. The staff are all friendly and helpful. Food in both restaurants is excellent. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable.

One night there was very loud thumping music from the function room on lower floor, that went onto 11:40pm. We were told multiple times from 10:40 until it finally went quiet, that music would stop in 10 minutes.

I am travelled from Australia and they refused to take international Visa card ( note not Amex) The property advertises that it takes all cards, so to me if they won’t take international card then they should not advertise on booking.com I had to transfer monies to my family from OS and then they paid with their Indian card. Even a local garment shop accepted my card but a big hotel did. It which was disappointing and very inconvenient. Also restaurant serves good meals but it is too oily and too rich.

The staff were friendly and the service was quite good. Appreciated the prompt and thorough housekeeping and room cleaning. The hotel was overall clean and well maintained.

The food could be better I thought. The prices weren't as competitive and the quality could be improved. The second bed in the room wasn't the nicest and was a bit of a let down.

Centrally located , clean and modern. It has a swimming pool and Spa. Two restaurants. Food service was good. Hassle free check in. Adequate parking. Prices are reasonable for accommodation and food as well.
