Rooms were big, warm showers, relatively clean, very good staff and a very good location.

Location is ok - 4km from the slow boat pier. They sorted out the slow boat trip with transport for us. Wifi works.

It is on the main street so it was noisy - even after choosing the "quiet room". The fridge is noisy too so you cannot sleep when it's plugged in. The bed was used for a really long time and should be changed or at least the mattress (it is the string one). We have had a gecko in our room climbing up the wall and hiding in the AC - it ruined our night. I heard some noises from another rooms like they found their unwanted guests too. There was no one at reception at night to fix the issue.

The Cleaning

It was central, and the staff spoke good English so it was easy to communicate with them.

The price was more than it was on booking.com, and the showers had lots of stains on the tiles. We also booked for 6 people and they tried to cram us into 5 beds. However, after some back and forth they gave us 2 rooms of 3.
