Schliersberg Alm

The view was incredible and the room was very nice. My wife and I don’t speak German (unfortunately), but the front desk staff communicated well in English and were very kind and helpful. The breakfast was also delicious.

The only downside was the uphill walk to get to the gondola station, since we were a bit tired after a long day of travel. But our stay at the hotel was well worth the effort to get there!

The hotel is located in the perfect place with very pastoral views.

When we arrived, there was no free parking space.

The view from the location is amazing! The room was big. The employees attitude was great. We served a la carte dinner, it was good, and the breakfast was average, overall was OK (food was in a separate room from the room where the tables were - this I found a little bit uncomfortable).

Cleaning in the room (sleeping area) could have been done a bit better, in the sense that under the bed and in a little hidden spaces but visible from distance was a bit dirty, there was a cap of bottle under a side of a bed and dust, the bathroom and the bedclothes were very clean thou (thumbs up for that). The whole place (main building I mean) looks a bit oldish and I understood from some people that know the place that is the same for 15 or so years. Also in the room there was a small one person bed/ couch with the broken/ very used fabric.

Stunning view, friendly, service-minded staff, excellent facilities. The location can normally only be reached by a funicular. When heavy winds prevented its operation, as we were about to leave, the hotel organized a car to take us down to the valley (on a path that only experienced drivers would be able to use). Kudos to the driver and the hotel.
