"Gem of a hotel with amazing food"

Gem of a hotel - the food was superb and the staff were really friendly, lovely clean room, comfy beds

Lack of comfortable chairs outside, they were wooden benches and plastic loungers with no cushions so they were uncomfortable to sit/lie on for longer than half an hour - but the beach is only 5 minutes walk away so it's not a major issue.

The location near Alum Chine is great: 5 minutes walk to the beach, close to shops and restaurants in lovely West Bourne, and close to bus routes for car-free days out. The hotel swimming pool and free parking are major assets, and the restaurant and bar are great after a busy day out.

The only thing I would have changed was the temperature of the swimming pool... A degree or two warmer would have been good!
