Holiday Suites Port Barton

Best place, awesome! I would like to have stayed longer. The staff, the hotel, where its situated etc, just fantastic. Everything you want is in one place very close to everything. I didn't even walk down one of the streets you just walk along the beach and everything is there.

The only thing that I can say is the bed was rock hard. I lay down on it and thought no I can't sleep on this. Realised on closer inspection that both the single mattresses that were put together as a king were upside down. Pulled the bed apart turned them over and remade. Was a bit better. The hotel is amazing to but have the beds dampen the experience spend some money on some mattress toppers! Those type of mattresses that you have you can't turn them over they are one sided even though they don't look like they are. ( I've worked in hotels for 13 years only reason I sorted the bed myself lol)

Location was good but there is a huge problem with stray dogs in both the hotel and the beach. Real shame that such a great location is spoilt by a total lack of control from the authorities.

Very limited choice of foods and stray dogs constantly walking around your table begging for food. There was no control over access to the hotel on stray dogs which looked ill and did their necessities in the area where guests were eating.

Great location on a really lovely beach and about a 5 mins walk from the bus terminal along a mixture of sealed and rough tracks. A tuk tuk cost 50 pesos for the same journey if you don't want to walk with luggage.. Staff are friendly and efficient.and both food and drinks are ok there. The room was comfortable but the shower needed maintenance to make it work better. There are lots of other restaurants, bars and travel or boat hire booths around. The only really poor thing are the prevalence of jelly fish during some times of the year which of course is beyond the hotels control. Views from the bar and along the beach are lovely and if you get bored with them there are lots of other local beaches with even better views albeit with less amenities. Overall we really enjoyed our stay there and would have liked to stay longer.

The shower in our room didn't work properly

This is a great hotel located right on the beach. The sunsets are lovely. The room was good, the bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was great. The hotel has a nice pool to cool off in too. There are a number of beach side restaurants close by.

We were woken by noisy roosters each morning and needed ear plugs. That's not the hotels fault as there are roosters everywhere in the town.

The place is beach front.

Loud music and the room was not well soundproofed.
